You are here on purpose
Several years ago USA Today asked its readers, “What would you ask God if you could get a direct and immediate answer?” By a two to one margin, the top response was, “What is my purpose here?”
You are here on purpose. God embedded within you a burning desire to know why you are here on earth. Intuitively you know there’s something you’re supposed to do – something that only you can do. You’re right. God has a unique assignment for you that is often referred to as a “calling.”
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” God has work for you to do that He determined before you were born. He designed, created, and equipped you with everything uou needed to accomplish your calling.
How do you know God’s calling for you?
- Ask. You don’t figure out your calling; God reveals it to you.
- Volunteer. It’s through serving others that you’ll begin to notice how God tends to use you.
- Reflect. Your life story reveals how God is molding and shaping you for a specific purpose.
